Restarting...again!

How many times have you started something that you had started before? It's always harder to restart. The motivation isn't the same as in the beginning. We've been selling on Teachers Pay Teachers (TPT) for about a year and honestly it's going pretty slow. TPT is supposed to be a way to interact with other teachers, share resources and get paid a little bit for the things we've created. We've put in some time to list over 60 products but haven't seen too much interaction. Fellow TPT'ers have told me the things I should do to generate more interest but it takes precious time.

I'm teaching two new classes this year and we all know how much work that is!

In my 9/10 World History class (I'm using amazing curriculum from Social Studies Mega Store), besides teaching world history, I'm teaching them to write expository essays. Bullseye Education has some great writing resources. That's our strength! We have seven lessons on expository writing. I started by teaching the EX/EV Paragraph Template which walks students through deciding on a subject, focusing on one area of that subject, writing a topic sentence and coming up with details and evidence to support the topic sentence.

Next we'll continue to use the lessons on expository writing to get some practice. Our lessons have lots of relevant writing prompts to get students writing.

I hope this is helpful and you're encouraged to keep giving your best for your students!
